Myrrh is an aroma that feels ancient, sacred, and deeply grounding. It is steam-distilled from the reddish-brown resin 'tears' of a small, thorny tree that grows in the arid regions of Africa and the Middle East. The scent is complex and hard to describe—it's warm, earthy, and resinous, with a slightly bitter, medicinal note that feels profoundly healing.

For centuries, Myrrh has been a prized ingredient for skin preservation and healing. It is one of the most effective essential oils for mature skin, helping to restore a feeling of firmness and reduce the appearance of fine lines. It is also fantastic for healing chapped, cracked, and weathered skin, making it a key ingredient in our most intensive salves and balms.

Aromatically, Myrrh is deeply meditative. Like Frankincense, it has a powerful ability to quiet the mind, soothe anxiety, and encourage a state of deep, peaceful introspection. It's an oil for quiet moments, for grounding yourself when you feel scattered or overwhelmed.

Our organic Myrrh is sourced from Kenya. It is a thick, potent, and incredibly effective oil that we use with great respect for its long history of healing both the skin and the spirit.
