Cocoa
Part of our Ingredient Glossary โ educational information about raw materials we may use in our products. We don't sell raw ingredients.
When we say chocolate, we mean it. Raw cocoa powder is one of the most antioxidant-rich substances you can put on your skin. The same flavonoids that make dark chocolate "heart healthy" also protect skin cells from oxidative stress and environmental damage. This isn't marketing. It's chemistry.
Cocoa contains natural cocoa butter, which is why products made with real cocoa feel so luxurious. That butter melts at just below body temperature, creating a silky, skin-softening effect that synthetic chocolate fragrances can't replicate. You're getting actual skincare benefits, not just a nice smell.
We source organic, raw cocoa powder for our chocolate products. "Raw" matters because high heat processing destroys many of the beneficial compounds. Our cocoa retains its full antioxidant profile, its natural color, and that rich, genuine chocolate aroma that makes people ask if they can eat our products. (They can't. But we understand the impulse.)
The theobromine in cocoa also provides a gentle stimulating effect on skin, potentially supporting microcirculation. It's one reason why chocolate spa treatments have been popular for decades. We just made it accessible in your own bathtub.
