Emulsifying Wax

A great lotion is an emulsion—a stable blend of oil and water—and emulsifying wax is the matchmaker. Without it, the two would separate completely, no matter how hard you shook the bottle. This vegetable-based wax creates a strong, stable bond, allowing us to combine nourishing oils and butters with hydrating ingredients like aloe juice.

This allows for a product that delivers both oil-soluble and water-soluble nutrients to your skin in one step. We use a wax that is RSPO certified, meaning it's derived from sustainable palm oil sources. It's a functional, necessary ingredient that allows us to create the complex, effective lotions and creams you love.
