Ferulic Acid

Ferulic Acid is a potent antioxidant in its own right, found in the cell walls of plants like rice, oats, and oranges. It does a great job of neutralizing free radicals and protecting the skin from damage. However, its true genius lies in its ability to be an incredible team player.

Its most famous role in skincare is as a stabilizer and booster for L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) and Vitamin E. The combination of these three ingredients is a well-studied powerhouse. Ferulic Acid not only helps to keep the notoriously unstable Vitamin C from degrading, but it also doubles its protective power. It’s a perfect example of synergy, where the final result is far greater than the sum of its parts.
