Goat Milk Pouring

There is a noticeable difference in a bar of soap made with fresh goat milk. The lather isn't just bubbly; it's dense, creamy, and lotion-like. It feels uniquely nourishing on the skin. This is why we go to the trouble of sourcing fresh, local goat milk right here in Oregon, bringing it from the farm directly to our workshop.

The magic of goat milk lies in its chemistry. It's packed with capric and caprylic triglycerides—special fatty acids that are easily absorbed by the skin. It also contains naturally occurring lactic acid, a gentle alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that helps to slough away dead skin cells, leaving the complexion looking brighter and feeling smoother.

Working with fresh milk requires a specific process. We freeze the milk into cubes before adding the lye. This keeps the temperature low, preventing the natural milk sugars from scorching. This meticulous step ensures the final bar retains all the milk's nourishing properties and a beautiful, creamy white color. It's a level of care that powdered milk simply can't replicate.

For us, using whole goat milk is a direct reflection of our values. It’s a simple, honest, and incredibly effective ingredient that turns a daily cleansing ritual into a moment of true nourishment. It creates a gentle, soothing, and profoundly moisturizing bar that your skin will feel the difference in from the very first use.
