Mint Leaves

Mint leaves in bath products aren't just decoration. When dried mint hits warm bathwater, it releases the same volatile compounds that make fresh mint smell so alive. Menthol, menthone, and a host of other aromatics float up from your tub, turning an ordinary soak into something that feels intentional.
The cooling sensation mint provides is real, not imagined. Menthol activates cold-sensitive receptors in your skin, creating that characteristic tingle without actually changing your body temperature. In a warm bath, this creates an interesting contrast: the water relaxes your muscles while the mint keeps your senses alert and refreshed.
We use dried mint leaves rather than mint essential oil in some products because we want the visual element too. There's something satisfying about seeing real botanical ingredients floating in your bath. It's a reminder that what you're soaking in came from actual plants, not a factory.
For cleanup, mint leaves are easy. They're small enough to go down most drains without issue, or a quick wipe with a washcloth catches them. The sensory payoff is worth the minimal effort.
