There's a reason orange peel shows up in so many traditional bath preparations. When you dry the zest and steep it in hot water, it releases all those aromatic oils that make fresh oranges smell so good. Limonene, mostly. The same compound that makes your kitchen smell amazing when you're peeling an orange for breakfast.
We use dried orange peel in our Relax Herbal Tub Tea, where it works alongside lemongrass to provide citrus brightness that balances the heavier calming herbs. Without it, the blend would be too sleepy. The orange peel keeps things lifted.
Beyond scent, orange peel actually does something for skin. The natural acids provide gentle exfoliation. The vitamin C and other antioxidants help with brightness. It's not going to replace your skincare routine, but in a bath? It contributes. Those curls of dried peel floating in the water aren't just pretty. They're working.
We also use sweet orange essential oil in products like our Orange Cream Lip Balm and Rosewood & Sweet Orange Hand Cream. Different form, same sunny personality. Orange just makes things better.
