Most people think of cinnamon as a single scent, but the oils from the bark and the leaf are quite different. Cinnamon Bark oil is intensely hot and spicy. The oil from the leaf, which is what we use, is much gentler. It has a warmer, spicier, and more clove-like aroma, with less of the fiery intensity. This makes it a much better and safer choice for use in skincare.

Like Clove, Cinnamon Leaf is a powerful purifying agent. Its high eugenol content makes it a great addition to deep-cleansing soaps and foot soaks, where it helps to deodorize and cleanse. Its aroma is wonderfully warming and comforting, perfect for creating a cozy, festive feeling during the autumn and winter months.

Its warming sensation can be very comforting for tired muscles when used in a very low, safe dilution in a massage oil. It helps to stimulate circulation and create a feeling of soothing relief.

Honesty is critical with all spice oils. Even though it's gentler than bark oil, Cinnamon Leaf is still a "hot" oil that can cause irritation if not used with care. We formulate with this respect, harnessing its cozy, purifying power safely. Our organic oil is sourced from Sri Lanka.
