Manuka's claim to fame is its unique purifying activity, which is due to a high concentration of compounds called triketones. This makes it an incredibly effective cleanser, even more so in some respects than its famous Australian cousin. We use it in our most heavy-duty purifying products, from blemish-targeting treatments to deep-cleansing foot balms.

Despite its strength, it can be surprisingly gentle on the skin.
