Vetiver is the aroma of the deep earth. It is steam-distilled from the tangled roots of a tropical grass, and the scent reflects that origin—it's deep, smoky, earthy, and incredibly complex, with a subtle sweetness that emerges as it dries. It is one of the most grounding and calming scents on the planet.
This is a very thick, viscous oil that pours slowly from the bottle, a physical sign of its slow, grounding nature. In perfumery, it's a prized base note, used to anchor lighter, more volatile scents and add a rich, tenacious complexity to a blend. It is the definition of a solid foundation.
