While safe to drink, these variables can destabilize a cosmetic formula, interfere with our preservation system, and affect the final texture. By using only purified, distilled water, we are starting with a clean, consistent, and predictable blank slate.
Water is the ultimate carrier, the vehicle that delivers all of our other water-loving ingredients to your skin. It dissolves and carries our hydrosols, glycerin, Niacinamide, and botanical extracts. It is the 'continuous phase' of a lotion, the hydrating base that allows us to suspend and deliver our beautiful moisturizing oils and butters in a creamy, lightweight emulsion.
