Rose Buds
Part of our Ingredient Glossary — educational information about raw materials we may use in our products. We don't sell raw ingredients.

Rose petals in bath products aren't just pretty. They're functional. When dried rose buds hit warm bathwater, they release their natural oils and aromatic compounds, creating a gentle, authentic rose experience that synthetic fragrances can't match. The petals float on the surface, turning an ordinary bath into something worth photographing.
We use whole dried rose buds rather than just rose fragrance oil because the real thing is simply better. You'll find them pressed into the tops of our Chocolate Velvet Rose Foaming Tub Cake, where they add both visual beauty and that subtle floral note that balances rich cocoa. In the Romantic Rose Foaming Tub Truffle, rose petals are scattered throughout, unfurling in your bath as the truffle dissolves.
Roses have been used in skincare for thousands of years, and not just for the smell. Rose petals contain natural compounds like citronellol and geraniol that help soothe and calm irritated skin. There's a reason rosewater has been a staple in beauty routines from ancient Persia to modern spas. We source ours dried and whole, selecting buds that still hold their color and fragrance rather than the dusty, faded petals you find in bulk bins.
A note on cleanup: rose petals in your bath do require a quick drain catch or a gentle wipe-down afterward. We think the experience is worth the extra thirty seconds. Most of our customers agree.
