Rosemary Extract

Rosemary extract is one of the most effective natural antioxidants we have. It’s a thick, dark liquid that we add to our oil-based formulas, like balms and butters, for one primary reason: to prevent them from going rancid. It works by neutralizing free radicals that cause oxidation, dramatically extending the product's shelf life.

It's important to distinguish this from rosemary essential oil. While it comes from the same plant, this extract is specifically produced to be high in antioxidant compounds like carnosic acid, not for its aroma. It allows us to keep our formulas simple and free from synthetic preservatives while ensuring they remain stable and fresh for you.
