Soy Wax

Part of our Ingredient Glossary โ€” educational information about raw materials we may use in our products. We don't sell raw ingredients.

Off-white soy wax flakes are melting at the bottom into golden liquid wax, with steam rising and natural light highlighting the metal and countertop imperfections.

Choosing a wax is the most important decision in candlemaking, and we deliberately choose not to use paraffin, which is a byproduct of the petroleum industry. Instead, we use pure, plant-based soy wax as the clean, reliable foundation for many of our candles.

Soy wax offers beautiful performance. It has a lower melting point than older waxes, which means your candle burns cooler and, therefore, longer. This creates a wide, even melt pool that is essential for releasing the candle's fragrance oil, a quality known as 'scent throw'.

We are proud to use 100% pure soy wax derived from soybeans grown by American farmers. This not only supports domestic agriculture but also ensures we are using a renewable and sustainable resource. It is a clean, honest, and effective material that reflects our core values.

In the workshop, we love its creamy, opaque appearance and consistent behavior. It allows us to hand-pour beautiful, high-quality candles that burn cleanly and smell true to their intended fragrance, from the first light to the very last.
