Stearic Acid

Stearic acid is one of the unsung heroes of the workshop. It arrives as small, waxy white flakes and has a simple but vital job: providing structure. In our lotions and facial creams, it adds a weighted, protective feeling and a creamy thickness. It’s a key reason our creams feel so nourishing and substantial, rather than thin or watery.

In soapmaking, it’s a game-changer. Adding stearic acid helps create a hard, durable bar that won't turn soft in the shower. It also stabilizes the lather, making it more creamy and dense, like a classic shaving soap. We use a 'triple-pressed' grade, which means it’s highly purified for consistent, high-quality results in every batch.
