Vegetable Glycerin

Glycerin is one of the most effective and straightforward hydrators we have. It’s a clear, syrupy liquid that acts like a moisture magnet, pulling water from the air and locking it into the upper layers of your skin. This is why it’s a star ingredient in our lotions and creams, providing a plump, hydrated feel that lasts.

It's also a natural byproduct of our soapmaking process, and one of the main reasons handcrafted soap feels so different from commercial bars. We retain all the natural glycerin, so our soap cleanses without stripping the skin of its moisture. In very dry climates, humectants can sometimes draw moisture *from* the skin, so it's best to apply glycerin-rich products to damp skin to lock in hydration.
