Organic Shea Butter

When I open a fresh case of our organic shea butter, the first thing I notice is the texture. It’s dense and firm, yet it yields under pressure, melting into a creamy, weighted oil on contact with skin. This isn't a light, fleeting moisturizer; it’s a substantial, protective barrier that feels both comforting and effective.

The real value of shea butter lies in its fatty acid profile and high vitamin content. It's packed with oleic and stearic acids, which are fantastic for conditioning and protecting the skin. When we formulate a soap bar with a high percentage of shea, we're aiming for a creamy, stable lather that cleanses without stripping away moisture.

Our sourcing is intentional. This particular shea butter comes from a cooperative in Burkina Faso, where the nuts are collected and processed using traditional methods. Choosing organic and supporting these communities ensures a higher quality ingredient for you and a more sustainable, equitable practice for the producers.

In our body butters, shea is the star player, providing that rich, long-lasting hydration. In soap, it contributes to a harder, longer-lasting bar with a gentle, lotion-like feel. It’s one of the most reliable, skin-loving ingredients we have in our workshop, a true cornerstone of our craft.
