Handcrafted with Intention | Each piece of Em'z Blendz jewelry is designed and made by Emily Whitlock in our Medford, Oregon studio. No two pieces are exactly alike.

Moons and light, brass and stone. Statement earrings for people who mean it.

These aren't subtle. At 2.5 inches, they're designed to catch light and draw attention. An aquamarine crystal sits at the top, pale and luminous. Below it, a brass crescent moon. And at the bottom, a golden citrine drop that glows warm against your skin.

The combination sounds busy on paper. In practice, it balances. The cool aquamarine tempers the warm citrine. The brass grounds the crystals. Everything moves when you move, but nothing competes.

Emily designed these for evening, for events, for moments when you want your jewelry to do some of the talking. But some customers wear them daily. Bold is relative.

"I wanted something celestial that didn't feel costume-y. The moon has to be substantial enough to anchor the design, but the crystals do the real work. The aquamarine catches cool light, the citrine catches warm light. Between them, they work in any lighting situation."

— Emily Whitlock, Designer-Maker

The Artistry in the Details

  • Intentional Proportions: 2.5 inches gives you drama without weight. Long enough to make a statement, light enough for all-day wear.
  • Warm Meets Cool: Aquamarine's pale blue against citrine's golden warmth. The brass moon splits the difference, tying the color story together.
  • Movement Without Chaos: Each element hangs independently, catching light as you turn your head. But the design keeps them from tangling or competing.
  • Brass That Ages Well: The gold-toned brass will develop character over time. Some people polish it bright; others let the patina deepen. Both work.

Key Elements

Aquamarine Crystal
Pale blue-green, almost translucent. Sits at the top of each earring, catching overhead light first. Natural stone with natural variation.
Gold-Toned Brass Moon
Hand-shaped crescent that anchors the middle of the design. Substantial enough to have presence, thin enough to stay light.
Golden Citrine Drop
Warm yellow-gold stone at the base. Natural citrine, not heat-treated amethyst. Glows against skin in warm light.
Sterling Silver Ear Wires
Hypoallergenic hooks for sensitive ears. The part that touches your skin is always sterling, never plated brass.

For nights when you want to be noticed.

Daily Wear: Put jewelry on last, after lotions, perfumes, and hairspray have dried. These can dull metals and cloud crystals over time.

Storage: Use the soft pouch we included. It prevents scratches and keeps pieces from tangling. If you're storing multiple pieces, keep them separate so chains don't knot and stones don't chip each other.

Cleaning: A soft, dry cloth is usually all you need. For brass and copper, a gentle polish restores shine. Avoid chemical cleaners on crystals.

Remove Before: Swimming, showering, hot tubs, dishes, and sleeping. Chlorine and salt water are hard on metals. Snagging a delicate wire in your sleep is harder on you.

Embrace the Patina: Brass and copper develop character over time. Some people love the warm, aged look. If you prefer bright and shiny, a polishing cloth brings it back.

Q: Are these heavy? Can I wear them all day?

A: They're lighter than they look. The crystals and brass are sized for drama, not weight. Most people can wear them comfortably for hours, though if you have very sensitive earlobes, you might want to save them for shorter occasions.

Q: How do I care for the brass?

A: Brass naturally develops a patina over time. If you want to keep it bright, a gentle polish with a soft cloth works. If you like the aged look, just let it happen. Either way, store them in the included pouch to prevent scratches.

Q: Are these too bold for everyday wear?

A: That's up to you. They're designed as statement pieces, but "statement" is relative. Some customers wear them to work. Others save them for events. The only wrong answer is leaving them in a drawer.
