Three essential oils. One job: clear the air.
This candle does more than smell good. Lemon cuts through stale air and lifts your mood. Eucalyptus opens your sinuses and sharpens focus. Pine grounds the whole thing with that unmistakable forest floor note. Together, they create something that's bright and clean without being sharp or medicinal. Emily named it "Peaceful" because that's what it does. It makes a room feel calmer just by being lit.
The bonus: lemon eucalyptus is a known mosquito deterrent. Light this on the porch during summer evenings and the bugs tend to find somewhere else to be. We won't call it a miracle, but it helps. And even if you're burning it indoors in January, the scent is clean and grounding in a way that feels like a deep breath in a forest.
"I blended this for our porch. Summer evenings, mosquitoes everywhere, and I wanted something that would actually work without smelling like a chemical bug spray. The lemon keeps it bright, the eucalyptus keeps it functional, and the pine keeps it from smelling like a cleaning product. It's become one of the candles I reach for most."
Why You'll Love It
- Pure Essential Oils Only: No fragrance oils, no synthetics. Just lemon, eucalyptus, and pine doing what they've done for centuries.
- Functional Scent: Supports respiratory clarity and helps deter mosquitoes. A candle that earns its place.
- Clean Burn: Hand-poured with our soy and coconut wax blend and a pure cotton wick. No black soot, no petroleum byproducts.
- 35+ Hours: Plenty of burn time in a tin that travels well and seals tight when you're done.
Goes Well With
- Oregon Forest Tub Truffle to take the forest theme into the bath. Light the candle, run the water, disappear into the trees for a while.
- Tree Hugger Shampoo Moon for that same woodsy, grounding scent in your hair care. Pine, spruce, fir, rosemary.
- BreathEase Personal Inhaler when you want eucalyptus clearing power on the go. Pocket-sized respiratory support.
Light it. Breathe deep. Let the forest do its thing.
First Burn: Let it burn until the wax pools to the edges. About 2-3 hours. Skip this step and you'll get tunneling for the life of the candle.
Wick Trim: ΒΌ" before every light. Trim while warm. Long wicks mean soot and weird burning.
Burn Time: 3-4 hours max. More than that overheats the container.
The Non-Negotiables: Never leave unattended. Seriously. Keep from kids, pets, drafts, anything flammable. Heat-resistant, level surface only. Stop burning glass candles at about Β½" of wax remaining.
Clean Exit: Dip the wick into the wax pool, straighten it back up. No smoke, easy relight next time.
Q: How strong is the scent?
A: It's present but not overwhelming. You'll notice it fill a room over 15 to 20 minutes, but it won't knock you over. Essential oils tend to be more subtle than synthetic fragrance oils, and that's intentional. This is meant to clear your head, not dominate it.
Q: Does it actually repel mosquitoes?
A: Lemon eucalyptus is a recognized natural insect deterrent. Will it create a force field? No. But burning this on a porch or patio does help. The mosquitoes tend to drift elsewhere. It's not a replacement for actual repellent if you're deep in the woods, but for a backyard evening, it makes a noticeable difference.
Q: Is this pure essential oils or a fragrance blend?
A: Pure essential oils only. Lemon, eucalyptus, and pine. No synthetic fragrance oils, no phthalates, no mystery ingredients. Just the real thing in a soy and coconut wax base with a cotton wick.
