Each slender brass frame is hammered by hand, and the hammering is the point. Every strike leaves a small flat facet in the metal, and those facets are what make the frame flicker when you move. It stays an open outline rather than a solid setting, so light reaches the stone from every side.
Inside that outline hangs a genuinely large stone: a faceted semi-precious teardrop measuring 12 by 15 millimeters, hand-wrapped into place. Big enough to read as real color from across a room. But the open frame keeps the whole earring light, about 1.5 inches in total length from the gold-plated ear wire, with an easy swing that follows you around.
