Steam-distilled from French and Oregon flowering tops. The one you reach for when the day needs to end.

Lavender is the most popular essential oil for a reason. It works. Not in a vague "aromatherapy is nice" way, but in a "I actually sleep better when I use this" way. This is pure Lavandula angustifolia, steam-distilled from flowering tops grown in France and sometimes right here in Oregon. The scent is floral, herbaceous, and genuinely calming. Not the synthetic purple candy smell that passes for lavender in most products.

Most of our customers use this for sleep. They diffuse it in the bedroom, dab it on pillows, or mix it with a carrier oil and apply it to wrists and neck before bed. It's become part of the routine that signals to their brain: we're done now. Time to stop.

This Is Why We Do It

"I started using lavender at night when I go to bed. I mix it with liquid coconut oil using 2 parts lavender to 1 part coconut oil. I put it on my wrists, neck, and cleavage, inhale deeply 3 to 4 times and am relaxed for a good night's sleep. My husband that does not like much as far as scents, loves the scent so I always run my wrists over his pillow before I sleep."

— Meg G.

Why You'll Love The Lavender Essential Oil

  • The bedtime oil: Diffuse in the bedroom 30 minutes before sleep, or apply diluted to pulse points. Customers tell us this is the one that actually helps them wind down.
  • Real lavender, not fragrance: Steam-distilled from actual Lavandula angustifolia flowering tops. You'll smell the difference immediately if you've been using synthetic lavender products.
  • Skincare staple: Lavender is known for its calming properties on skin. Add to DIY facial oils, body lotions, or bath products. Gentle enough for most skin types.
  • Natural insect deterrent: Bugs aren't fans. Add to a carrier oil for summer evenings, or diffuse on the patio.
  • Sourced from France and Oregon: We source from French lavender fields and, when available, from growers right here in our home state.

How to Use It

Diffusing: 5-10 drops in an ultrasonic diffuser or a few drops in a traditional oil burner with water. Start diffusing 30 minutes before bed for best results. Topical: Dilute 2-3 drops in a tablespoon of carrier oil (jojoba, sweet almond, or MCT oil). Apply to wrists, temples, or the back of your neck. Bath: Add 5-8 drops to a warm bath. The steam carries the scent while you soak.

Goes Well With

  • Essential Oil Mist Diffuser: The modern way to diffuse. Whisper-quiet ultrasonic mist, up to 3 hours of run time, and optional gradient lighting for evening ambiance. Add 5-10 drops and let it fill the bedroom.
  • Lavender Soap Bar: Layer the scent. Use the soap in an evening shower, then diffuse the oil in your bedroom. By the time you're in bed, your whole space smells like sleep.
  • Sweet Orange Essential Oil: Lavender and orange together create something calming but not heavy. Good for evenings when you want to relax without feeling sedated.

Real lavender. Real calm. 10ml of the bedtime oil.

Q: Is this real lavender or just lavender fragrance?

A: Real lavender. Pure Lavandula angustifolia steam-distilled from flowering tops, not synthetic fragrance oil. You'll know the difference the moment you open the bottle. Real lavender has depth and complexity. Synthetic lavender smells like purple candy.

Q: How do I use this for better sleep?

A: Most customers diffuse it in the bedroom starting about 30 minutes before bed. You can also dilute a few drops in carrier oil and apply to wrists, temples, or the back of your neck. Some people put a drop or two directly on their pillow. The scent signals to your brain that it's time to wind down.

Q: Can I put this directly on my skin?

A: We recommend diluting first. Mix 2-3 drops with a tablespoon of carrier oil like jojoba, sweet almond, or MCT oil before applying. While lavender is one of the gentler essential oils, undiluted application can still cause irritation for some people. Patch test first if you have sensitive skin.
