Ginger Milk | Eau de Parfum | Inspire by Thymes Ginger Milk

Some fragrances are created. Others are finally captured.

Ginger Milk is one of those rare scents that has lived quietly in my collection for years, cherished, protected, and never quite replaceable. For many years, this beautiful ginger accord was part of the fragrance in our beloved Ginger Goat Milk soap, and through more than two decades of testing from countless suppliers, nothing ever came close to matching its warmth, brightness, and soft creamy character. Eventually, I had to discontinue the soap simply because the fragrance became too scarce and too limited to keep using in a full production batch.

Inspired by the original discontinued Ginger Milk by Thymes, but in my opinion, even better, this perfume opens with a sparkling lift of lime and fresh ginger, bright and gently spicy without ever becoming sharp. A delicate tamarind note gives it a subtle tartness, while cucumber adds a clean, dewy freshness. As it settles, soft vanilla and ambrette create the “milk” in Ginger Milk: smooth, musky, comforting, and quietly sensual.

It is fresh but warm. Soft but distinctive. Creamy but never heavy. A ginger fragrance with elegance, restraint, and soul.

The perfumery supplier I sourced the heart of this fragrance from has since gone out of business, and I purchased the last of what they had. After holding onto it for nearly a year, I finally blended it into perfume, and the result is something truly special. This is currently my absolute favorite fragrance in our collection.

Ginger Milk is a limited release in the truest sense. When this batch is gone, it will be gone. I will always keep trying to recreate beautiful things, of course, but as far as I know, this exact fragrance may never be matched again.
