About This Glossary

This ingredient glossary exists to educate our customers about the raw materials we work with at Em'z Blendz. Knowledge is power, and we want you to understand what goes into (and onto) your body.

Important notes:

  • This glossary is a work in progress β€” we're actively adding ingredients and updating information
  • Not every ingredient listed here appears in our current products (some may be from discontinued items or future formulations)
  • Some ingredients in our current products may not be listed here yet β€” we're working on it
  • We do not sell individual raw ingredients β€” these materials are professionally blended into our finished products
  • For exact ingredient lists, always check individual product labels or product pages
  • Ingredients are listed in descending order on labels (most to least)

This glossary represents our evolving palette of materials β€” think of it like a painter showing you their colors. Not every color goes into every painting, but understanding each one helps you appreciate the final work.

Organic Black Pepper Essential Oil

A stimulating essential oil with a sharp, dry, and spicy aroma, steam-distilled from dried peppercorns. It is a powerful warming agent, known for its ability to boost circulation and relieve sore muscles.

Organic Beeswax

A natural, protective wax produced by honeybees, with a subtle, sweet honey aroma. It is a classic, effective ingredient for creating a breathable barrier that locks in moisture and gives structure to our balms and salves.

Bentonite Clay

A highly absorbent and detoxifying clay formed from aged volcanic ash. When mixed with water, it develops a strong negative ionic charge, allowing it to act like a magnet to attract and bind with positively charged toxins and impurities.

Activated Bamboo Charcoal

A fine, black powder made from bamboo that has been "activated" to create an incredibly porous surface. It acts like a magnet to absorb deep-seated impurities, excess oil, and environmental pollutants from the skin.

Bakuchiol

A potent, plant-based active extracted from the seeds of the Psoralea corylifolia (Babchi) plant. It is clinically recognized as a natural alternative to retinol, helping to improve the appearance of fine lines and uneven skin tone without the associated irritation.

Organic Bergamot Essential Oil

A bright, complex citrus oil cold-pressed from the peel of the Bergamot orange, with a sunny, sweet aroma that has a subtle floral and spicy edge. It is famously uplifting and is a key ingredient in Earl Grey tea.
