Not what I expected - scent-wise

I've been looking for a Tobacco Vanilla scented aftershave for a while, and when I came upon yours online I was interested. Though I thought that the price was a bit high I decided to give it a try anyway knowing it was made to order. Although I fully understand that your products' scents are mainly herbal based I think you might have missed the mark with this one. I use the Tom Ford cologne along with a couple of products made by a local establishment that makes a T&V beard oil and balm and I have to say they all smell very similar. I think your scent does not smell like tobacco vanilla at all though it is pleasant. I will use it but I probably won't purchase it again. Just my two scents (sic).

You’re absolutely right that this particular aftershave leans more herbal than a direct cologne interpretation. Because it’s built on a botanical base, some of those natural herbal notes can subtly shift or soften the tobacco vanilla profile. We agree that it doesn’t land as an exact match to the Tom Ford scent you’re familiar with.

For a truer interpretation of that cologne-style aroma, we created a separate blend called Faux-bacco. It took us two full years of formulating and refining to get it just right, and it’s the closest representation we’ve achieved to that rich tobacco vanilla character.

We have also been working behind the scenes on a reformulated version of our aftershave face lotion and beard conditioner. The new version is smoother, warmer, and much closer to the profile most people expect from a Tobacco Vanilla scent. We would love to send you one to try. We truly think you will like this updated version much better.
