Your first line of defense against nature's itch.
Every hiker in Oregon knows the moment: you look down and realize you just brushed through poison oak. The clock starts ticking. Urushiol oil is already on your skin, and you have maybe an hour before it bonds and the misery begins.
This bar is built for that moment. One side has a scrubby texture from poppy seeds, ground walnut, and oatmeal to physically remove the oil before it can cause a rash. But if you miss that window and the rash shows up anyway, the soap is loaded with calamine, oat extract, and cooling essential oils to calm the itch and speed up healing. Prevention and relief. One bar.
"I spend a lot of time on the trails around Ashland, and getting into poison oak is basically inevitable. I wanted one bar that did everything: scrub off the oils right away, but also provide real cooling relief if you already have the rash. This is my peace-of-mind bar for any outdoor adventure."
Why You'll Love The Poison Oak & Ivy Relief Soap Bar
- Built-In Scrubby Texture: Poppy seeds, ground walnut, and oatmeal on one side of the bar help physically remove urushiol oil before it bonds to your skin.
- Instant Itch Relief: Calamine and oat kernel extract are the classic itch-stoppers. They calm inflammation and soothe angry skin on contact.
- Cooling Essential Oil Blend: Peppermint and eucalyptus deliver a tangible cooling sensation that takes the heat out of a rash.
- Promotes Faster Healing: Tea tree, lavender, and roman chamomile help cleanse and support your skin's natural recovery.
- Works on Poison Ivy Too: Same plant oil, same solution. This bar works on both.
This Is Why We Do It
"My son plays disc golf and walks through poison oak quite a bit. He uses this soap after playing and has not had poison oak since. He gets poison oak quite easily so this is great."
How to Use It
For Prevention: As soon as possible after exposure, wash the affected area with the scrubby side of the bar. Work up a good lather, let it sit for a minute, then rinse. Repeat if you're paranoid. You should be.
For Relief: If the rash has already appeared, lather the smooth side of the bar and apply directly to the affected area. For intense relief, let the lather dry on your skin before rinsing.
Key Ingredients
- Calamine & Oat Kernel Extract
- The classic duo for itch relief. Calamine cools and protects while oat soothes inflammation. They've been doing this job for generations.
- Peppermint & Eucalyptus Oils
- Pure essential oils that deliver a real cooling sensation on contact. Takes the heat and sting out of an angry rash.
- Tea Tree & Lavender Oils
- Natural antiseptics that help keep the area clean and support healing. No synthetic additives, just plants doing their job.
- Poppy Seeds, Ground Walnut & Oatmeal
- The scrubby edge of the bar. These gentle exfoliants help physically remove urushiol oil before it can bond to your skin and cause a rash.

saponified organic oils of cocos nucifera (coconut), elaeis guineensis (palm) kernel (sustainably sourced), calamine (zinc oxide and ferric oxide), avena sativa (oat) kernel flour, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, melaleuca alternafolia (tea tree) leaf oil, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil, anthemis nobilis (roman chamomile) oil, poppy seeds, ground walnut, avena sativa (oat) kernel extract.
Q: How soon after exposure do I need to use this?
A: The sooner the better. Urushiol oil can bond to your skin within 30-60 minutes. If you can wash within that window using the scrubby side, you have a good chance of preventing the rash entirely.
Q: Does it work on poison ivy too?
A: Yes. Poison oak and poison ivy both contain urushiol, the oil that causes the allergic reaction. This soap works on both.
Q: Can I use it on my face?
A: Yes, but be careful around your eyes. The peppermint and eucalyptus oils create a cooling sensation that's great on your arms and legs but intense near your eyes. Use the smooth side and rinse thoroughly.
