Sweet orange essential oil and natural flavor create the scent. Five certified organic butters and oils do the actual healing. The result is a balm that makes you smile every time you put it on, which turns out to be pretty often once you start.

The base is the same butter-rich formula we use across our lip balm line. Organic extra virgin coconut oil, organic cocoa butter, organic unrefined shea butter, organic jojoba oil, organic sweet almond oil. Organic beeswax holds it together. Vitamin E and aloe vera calm irritation. It's a formula that heals cracked, wind-burned, neglected lips while smelling like the best part of summer.

Sadly very disappointed.

August 2025.... I have used EM's LOVELY lip balms for many, many, many years, since I first discovered them (Where?!?!), maybe at a farmer's market? Anyway, they are and have been so good, the best! That I have ONLY used her unique balm, because it WORKS and I have loved smelling like fresh-baked vanilla cookies when I use it. Perhaps I ordered the wrong one. However, I actually had checked the order history to find out which I had last ordered, a batch BEFORE the bright orange label appeared. And in the very beginning, I had both the Orange Cream and the Vanilla. Her recipes have soothed and cared for my tender, sensitive-skin lips for decades. I even adapted to price increases for something that works so well and smells so good. I use her balms until I have stuck my finger into the used container to get the very last bit out for many weeks. And by then, the container labels are so worn, the label is no longer legible. So I could not verify the exact name of my typical order in past many years. I put in an order a few weeks ago. And it took a while to get processed. I got a batch of the Orange Cream that sadly and very disappointingly smells like a CLEANING product. Having used many "Orange Oil" cleaners for the past 45 years... Their scent evolved too from something delightfully orange and orange blossom smelling to something that might even be chemically created in place of a natural oil as the orange cleaners now have a hard, burning over tone to it that is NOT pleasant to smell. It is either not natural or too concentrated and smells like something so strong it would bring you out of a coma. There is a big difference between a scent I do not mind tolerating for something that cleans my house - versus an essential oil I would put on my skin or face and wear directly under my nose... and HAVE to smell all day, (as I use it a lot... ). This new Orange Cream scent is NOT a scent I want to smell like. I am VERY fond of Vanilla and Orange together in soap, perfume, and her previous lip balm. However, I do not like any and all scents of Orange or Vanilla, and this batch has no evidence of Vanilla at all. I remember this item smelling like an orange cream popsicle. And now it smells like an unfriendly chemical imitation of what would normally be a very nice scent, and instead smells like a harmful chemical to get rid of pests and grime in a very dirty house. How did this pass quality control?
