Every product is handmade in small batches by real people (hi, that's us!). Orders usually ship in 3 to 5 days, then the Post Office takes it from there. Think of it as farm-to-skin, not Prime-to-porch.

We are all made of star-stuff. So is this soap.

At the end of every production day, we're left with beautiful trimmings. Colorful curls and shavings from every soap we make. We refuse to waste them. So we collect those scraps, our own "star-stuff," and suspend them in a jet-black base of activated charcoal. The result looks like a tiny galaxy. Each bar different. Each bar a little cosmos of its own.

The scent is star anise essential oil. If you've ever had black licorice, you know exactly what this smells like. Sweet, spicy, unmistakable. It's not for everyone, and that's fine. The people who love it really love it.

Saponified oils of coconut, olive, palm (sustainably sourced), and shea butter; star anise essential oil, activated charcoal, misc. chunks of other Em'z Blendz soaps.

Lather in your hands or on a washcloth and cleanse face or body. The charcoal won't stain; it rinses clean. Watch the colorful confetti slowly reveal itself as the bar wears down. A daily reminder that you, and your soap, are cosmic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does it smell like?

A: Black licorice. The star anise essential oil is unmistakable. If you love licorice, you'll love this. If you don't, this probably isn't your bar. We have plenty of others.

Q: Will the charcoal stain my washcloth or tub?

A: No. The activated charcoal is fully incorporated into the soap and rinses completely clean. No black residue on your skin, cloth, or tub.

Q: What soaps are in the colorful confetti?

A: Whatever we made that week. Could be Lavender, Oatmeal Milk & Honey, Eucalyptus Tea Tree, Lingonberry, Mt. Ashland... any and all of them. That's why every bar looks different. It's a little sample of everything we do.
